CRUMBS brings home the silver

Hello internet readers,

CRUMBS had a lovely time improvising on the West Coast.
CRUMBS was of course defending their International Theatresports title at the Vancouver Theatresports League 21st annual Theatresports Tournament. There were good times and great shows with teams from all over... well all over North America anyways.

Teams included:
San Fransisco (from Bay Area Theatresports)
Toronto (from Bad Dog Theatre)
Bellingham (from Upfront Theatre)
Winnipeg (duh, it was CRUMBS)
Atlanta (from Dad's Garage)
Vancouver (duh, they hosted the damn thing)

Well, CRUMBS had great times playing with the folks and ended up at the finals with Dad's Garage. When the dust settled and the numbers were crunched Dad's Garage walked away with the Championship and CRUMBS walked away with second place. Fun was had.

highlight:
Seeing Lee dance his heart out on stage.
lowlight:
Lee wrecked his knee dancing his heart out and was not his usual "running around on stage" self after that.

CRUMBS in VANCOUVER

CRUMBS is in Vancouver defending their international Theatresports title at the St. Valentine's Massacre theatresports tournament at the Vancouver Theatresports League.

That is the most I have ever written "theatresports" in one sentence.

The dates of the Tournament are:
Feb 13-17th 2008

Here is a link to the official site: this is where you click

This will be a great weekend of shows (not only because of CRUMBS) as there will be some talented folks doing their "thing". Teams from Toronto, Bellingham, Vancouver, Atlanta, San Fransisco and of course Vancouver. CRUMBS will be representing Winnipeg by the way.

Theatresports is a short form competitive improv format invented by Stephen Sim and Lee White and then ripped off by Keith "Elton" Johnstone. It has swept the world in popularity. It's okay.

Now we just have to hope that no earthquakes hit the west coast...

A little stand-up bit

Stephen Sim (me) does some stand-up at the King's Head Pub. The show is a monthly show in Winnipeg called "Shitz'n Gigglez" and it is hosted by John B. Duff. It is on the first Tuesday of each month. This little bit was shot by Michal Grajewski on a little Nikon digital camera in February of 2008.
