Still in Europe

Well it has been one week now and the tour is going just fine, thank you very much.

CRUMBS is now in Ljubljana in Slovenia (sometimes known as 'The Lube') a city that is very beautiful and just happens to be where some fine impro friends of ours live. In Slovenia they use the letter j all the time, if you ever thought that it was an underused letter in English, there is no need to fret.

CRUMBS had a wonderful time in Arhona with the horses. Both myself (Steve) and Craig fell of horses, and Lee did not. Craig is alright, though he did hurt his knee, his ankle and his ribs. I fell onto my back but bounced back injury free. It was nice to talk and ride with the horses again.

So there you have it, the first week of Euro tour under our belts, and only a small amount of injury to report.

NOW IN EUROPE!

Well CRUMBS is now in Europe. Land of Trains, slow computers and hotmail that doesn't work.

Dortmund was our first stop. Played the first ever impro match in a giant soccer ball (football in euro) as part of the FIFA 2006 World Cup of Improv in Germany. Awesomeness and fun was had (CRUMBS took the title, so hopefully that buys us into the next round for next year?)

Secound stop is Arhöna, which is close to Fulda (smack dab in the middle of Germany) and home to the communist leaning natural horse back riding ranch of wonderful Uwe. We are teaching improv workshops there and riding horses the very old fashion way. This invovles no bit and no saddle. We use the natural body language of the horse and it is beautiful. This is our third trip to Arhöna and it is were I understand the mind of the pre-teen girl (because i love horses and i draw them on my binder).

Next is Ljubjana, in Slovenia. We will do some workshops there and perform some grade 'A' improv CRUMBStyle.

Hopefully we will also find some computers that move a little faster then this one and i can write a nice email to my best girl back at home (whom i miss).

For now, relax in the country with horses and sunshine.

catch23 in Toronto

Well, we did it.CRUMBS had its premiere in Toronto and people liked it.

The Catch 23 tournamentof Wonders was Wonderful, those folks all know what they're doing.

-awesome long form with a DJ (and an awesome DJ, Sasha rules yo)
-awesome kids show with Lucky and Matt (and awesome guests)
-awesome with becky and graham again (iron cobra was justin winnipeg)
-awesome hanging with julie (andcrashing in herliving room)
-awesome cabaret show of all good toronto comedy folks (very funny)
-awesome live cartoon improv with Atlanta's Dad's Garage (tech + improv = nice)
-awesome seeing noah and salazar again (years its been)

And yo suckers, CRUMBS brought it and took home the title. First ever tournament and CRUMBS stomped all over everybody (but in a niceway). Actually the last show was fuckinggreat. Calgary's peter and al were rockin' it johnston style when "bang" in came some west coast flava with noah and salazar. When the foam and smoke cleared, it was CRUMBS clutching the severed head of a Unicorn mounted on a plaque. (check out the catch23 website if this makes no sense.)

All in all, wicked awesome times in toronto. a couple days left before the euro portion. still another catch 23 show, a second city improv jam and more comedy to see.

time to leave the computer and find some food.

rock'n

Awesome,

So at the Albert last night (and tonight) there was (and is) a rock'n band. They are doing a rock-n-roll rock opera (not Oprah). And boy, was it a good show you just won't see anywhere else. Nobody does this.
They are touring Canada with their hilarity, which i guess they thought would be a good idea. The only problem is, who goes to see rock operas?
Well, YOU SHOULD! This is a truly funny (and rock'n) show, if you can check it out, do.

It is also stars Underground Comedy Anti-Hero Hugh Phukovsky. I have had the pleasure of working with Hugh Phukovsky before and it is a good to see him blow through town. Whenever you see his name on a poster, go see the show.

check out www.123presents.com for tour dates and more info.
