CRUMBS and the Winnipeg IF... Improv Festival 2013

As the long long title more than hints at... the Winnipeg IF... Improv Festival is coming and coming fast! With guests from Chicago, Vancouver, Regina, Edmonton and with amazing improvisers from right here in Winnipeg!

Tue, Oct 1st it all starts with a free sampler show at the King's Head Pub.

Wed, Oct 2nd
The Gas Station Arts Centre breaks out the 20-sided dice for the DnD Improv Show (festival edition)

Thu, Oct 3rd
The Gas Station Arts Centre hosts a very special Big Stupid Improv Show with a very special guest Kevin McDonald from The Kids in the Hall! He'll tell true stories and the festival ensemble will improvise hilariousness inspired by it!

Fri, Oct 4th
The Gas Station Arts Centre showcases four different acts!
First we get Business from Regina, then a Sci-Fi improv format from Vancouver's Instant Theatre.
And then we get the festival ensemble premiering a brand new improv form.
PLUS:
CRUMBS doing a late night set at 11pm.
So much improv!

Sat, Oct 5th
The Gas Station Arts Centre showcases more shows. Yes, we're not done yet. Outside Joke shows off their hit show. The festival ensemble unites to create something amazing again.
PLUS:
We end the whole festival with a late night performance of Lee White's very own Game Show Improv Show!

CRUMBS loves the Winnipeg Improv Festival

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Winnipeg iF... Improv Festival 2011 is just about here. That time of year when CRUMBS teams up with the local heroes of Winnipeg improv and we invite fabulous improv players from all over to come to our home town and show them our prairie hospitality.

This year we have guests coming from:

Atlanta, Georgia
Victoria, BC
Edmonton, AB
Toronto, ON

The Festival kicks off at the King's Head Pub on Sept 2oth for the annual Free Sampler Platter.

The rest of the fest then takes place at the Gas Station Theatre (at the corner of River & Osborne) Sept 22nd + 23rd +24th with amazing shows!

CRUMBS is almost done the tour

CRUMBS is almost done yet another tour of Europe and as we get ready to do the last couple of "gigs" on our Euro Touro 2011, know that we are also sooooooo behind on our website updates.

I will try and post a small update about each of the stops on our tour and catch up to the present, though it is quite hard to keep up with reality. I will also try and continue to keep updating the site with actual current projects.

Even though the updates are behind, I will mention that we are in Munich right now and are preparing ourselves mentally (read this as sipping on Gin and Tonics) for the TEDx Munich. If you don't know what TED is, go here. If you don't know what Munich is, go there. It is pretty exciting to be involved with this whole TED thing, I hope it works out smoothly. Then we put the Euro Touro 2011 to bed and kiss it on the forehead for the 10th year in a row. We pack our bags and empty out pockets for security and jump aboard the "old tin can shuttle" to skip across the Atlantic for our homes.

CRUMBS in Edmonton

Yes the non-linear CRUMBS tour blog gets updated again. I know that I am behind on my updates and still owe some european updates and posts, but CRUMBS are in fact in Edmonton right now so i thought that I would include this quick little post.

Last night we did a theatresports show where CRUMBS played with 4track from NYC and we had The Gift of Gab open and close the show with some awesome Hip Hop tracks... very cool.

so Saturday night is the big show (the CRUMBS showcase show) where we once again show Edmonton why they love us (do they love us?). Show up at the Varscona theatre and watch the awesomes all this weekend.
